This is where it all began . The Acorn Gallery School of Art is where I learned how to paint.
This will be part of the Acorn Gallery School of Arts, 30 year reunion auction on June 2st.
All is welcome to attend. The action will be held at Gary 5 in Marblehead, MA. Doors open at 5 PM.
For almost 30 years the Acorn Gallery School of Art in downtown historic Marblehead has served as an artistic haven for thousands of students, helping them to gain confidence, find their inner voice, and explore their creativity. To date, Acorn has helped their students receive well over 10 million dollars in college scholarships and many have gone on to lead successful careers as visual artists. The founders and owners, Deb and Jack, have committed their lives to artistic practice across the North Shore, and have become local legends and heroes to many who have passed through their doors. I am a parent of just one of the students Acorn has taught and helped. To show our support and appreciation a group of local Acorn parents are planning a celebration and fundraising event in their honor on Sunday, June 2nd.
All the proceeds will go directly to the Acorn Gallery to help support their efforts to continue teaching blooming artists for years to come. We expect a broad range of guests—from local to international artists, parents of students, their children, and their children’s children. It will be a multi-generational event for sure! Live music will be provided by “The Old Men of Marblehead”. There will be works of art for sale from various artists (including Deb and Jack!), raffle prizes, acknowledgements, fond memories, laughter, and a few surprises.
We look forward to seeing you there!
